Fruits and Passion Watermelon Goji Set (Shower Gel, Lotion, and Body Mist) Review

This was a gift I received.. Yes I love watermelons so much!

First one I used was the shower gel.

I love this shower gel. Squeeze only a small amount and it lathers up real good. Very bubbly! It smells really fresh, like everytime I feel stressed, the scent is really energizing and brightens up my mood. The only negative I see is that they should've made it thicker, because since the tube is facing downwards, the shower gel drips. I'm very careful before opening it, assuring nothing would go to waste when I'm about to squeeze some on my hand.

The lotion is absolutely moisturizing. It smells really nice too, more like a melon, not a watermelon but close enough. LOL. Use only an adequate amount for your skin and it is easily spreadable.

Last but not the least is the body mist. I have to say, it has the perfect scent of watermelon. Very sweet, refreshing, and cheerful. The smell of this brightens up my soul. I mean it. Unfortunately, the scent does not stay for hours. It only lasts 10-15 minutes approximately. After that, you'll almost not smell it anymore. Also feels oily on the skin. Really a bummer if you ask me. :( I hope they can make this into a perfume, for a stronger and longer scent. Too bad this is just a body mist.

Over-all I am really in love with the scent of these 3 products in a set. You can buy them individually too, I checked Bath and Body Works, but the body mist was not available. Check the store near you if all these three are available for individual sale, or try the whole set too. This is only a gift for me, and that special someone really knows me well! You know who you are, thank you! ;)

Zen Zest Tea Tree Oil Review

For 150 pesos, you get this 15 mL tea tree oil bottle at Zen Zest.

This is really cheap compared to other brands of tea tree oil like The Body Shop. I tried that too before when I was still a tween and I had like one zit at a time. The Body Shop is more expensive than this, more than double the price and that one comes in a 10 mL bottle only. They smell exactly the same, not too appealing, but smells really natural.

I have two small acne spots on both sides of my cheeks and some on my forehead (I know :( must get rid of them ASAP) and for using the Zen Zest Tea Tree Oil for more than a month, I can see the pimples go lighter and lighter, I can see improvements. The real technique is to use as few as you can because applying too much can make pimples red and worse. Apply this after cleansing (or after toning if you do use toner), preferably before going to sleep.

I would not repurchase this and I rate it 2.5/5.

Snoe Body Ritual Recipes Scrumptious Body Spritz French Macaroons Review

My first post for 2014! Yay! I hope I would be more active in blogging this year!

A French Macaron-scented body spritz! I fell in love the moment I saw it. I must have it and try it myself. I love macarons and I know a lot of people do, too.

I bought this for 399 pesos at one of their stores here in the Philippines. They are locally made so I totally want to support and buy more of their products in the future. It contains 120 mL which is not so bad.

The scent at first smells like something not too energetic. It smells like something deep but sweet. A very unique scent. I have not smelled the scent from anywhere else. A sad but true story, a friend of mine smelled me right after I sprayed some on myself, and she said it smells awful.

The bottle design is elegant and vintage-inspired. The color is kind of weird though, dirty white and slightly yellow-ish. Hope they would try to change the color to a more sweet-looking one.

macaron v macaroon

One thing they got wrong was they named it “French Macaroons” when it should really be called “French Macarons”, with only one O. Still, I named the title of this post with macaroons because that is the product’s name (as of now). In case you are getting confused, a macaron is the mini burger-like sweet and chewy baked pastry that comes in a lot of flavors and colors. Just like those three lovely treats on the bottle. One of the main ingredients of macarons are almonds. A macaroon is also a baked pastry that is shaped like a small rock and usually contains coconut. They are usually golden brown, just like normal breads.

The product is obviously pertaining to macarons, and not macaroons so I hope they wouldn’t mind correcting the future bottles of this amazing and unique body spritz.

Pros:
-French Macarons-inspired scent.
-Cute bottle, not too bulky so I can easily put in my bag.
-Smell nice.
-Totally unique scent. (but if you ever smelled it too and know something that smells just like it, feel free to comment!)
-Long lasting.

Cons:
-Should be named “French Macarons” and not macaroons.
-Weird color of the body spritz.
-Some might find the scent unpleasant, including you.

Dickinson’s Original Witch Hazel Pore Refining Toner Review

Happy New Year everyone! This is my last post for this 2013! LOL. Til next year! <3

http://kassiediary.files.wordpress.com/2013/12/wpid-c360_2013-10-31-22-29-22-726.jpg

From Healthy Options, this toner costs 74 pesos. It contains 59 mL (2 fl oz).

Witch Hazel is one of the famous remedies for pimples. This toner is for people with acne, and also fine to use for people with just a few pimples.

“Its 100% Natural Witch Hazel Formula tightens and refines pores, gently removing excess oil, dirt, and makeup residue without over drying- for evenly toned and beautifully smooth skin everyday.”

It is oil and fragrance free, non-drying, and suitable for all skin types. It is also 100% all natural. The ingredients are All Natural Witch Hazel, containing Natural Grain Alcohol 14% and Witch Hazel Extract.

I use this twice a day, every morning and night after cleansing my face. Its just a regular toner. It helped stop growing pimples but it didn’t help out much in removing pimples on my face. The scent is not that good but after a few days I got used to it. Smelling it from the bottle is not really advisable. LOL. By using the product, its really noticeable that it is all natural, no other chemicals added. From the appearance to the scent.. Here we go with scent again. XD They didn’t add any fragrance to it so that’s why. They prioritized on the Witch Hazel more, which is good, as I read before that dermatologists claimed that fragrances and chemicals actually sabotage the product’s natural powers.

For 74 pesos, yes its really affordable! Checking out Healthy Options for healthier food choices, I didn’t expect they would have these all natural toners too, and so I ended up getting the toner.

Pros:
-Good quality toner.
-Affordable for 74 pesos only
-100% all natural

Cons:
-Scent is not good.
-Did not help much in the removal of pimples.

Bath & Body Works Japanese Cherry Blossom Sensual Shimmer Body Mist Review

image

A Bath & Body Works Sensual Shimmer Body Mist, for $14, you get 236 mL (8 oz).
The bottle proclaims: “This deeply sensual shimmer body mist will leave skin sparkling with irresistible glamour and lightly fragranced with our exclusive award-winning Japanese Cherry Blossom, a seductive and mysterious floral scent inspired by the exotic gardens of Japan.”
The scent is long lasting and so are the glitters. They will not come off unless you take a shower. It has a floral vibe to it, but has a deeper feeling compared to some floral fragrances that gives you a light and blissful scent. I must say this smells more mature and more daring, a scent that’s more of the sexy side than the cutey girl side. They are definitely not lying when they said it was a sensual shimmer body mist.

One bottle goes a long way. I’m always generous in spraying and I often indulge the feeling. I spray it approximately ten times all over my body. It always gives a powerful vibe and it is also a mood booster especially during the morning when you’re still really dying to sleep but need to dress up for school or work. Just spray it all over your body and you’re ready to face the day ahead. This can also be great to use during night outs.

A lot of people always ask me about the glitters on my neck. I always respond to them with the words, “I’m a fairy!”

For me, $14 for this bottle is very affordable! Bath & Body Works’ products are everywhere. Just beware of the fake ones, there are a lot of them too!

Pros:
-Scent is long lasting.
-The shimmer is also long lasting.
-Very affordable for $14.

Cons:
-Sometimes, the shimmer gets clogged in the way while spraying so you must always make sure to clean it.
-Be careful not to spray too close to your nose, might be overpowering.
-Drips after spraying and takes a few seconds to dry.

Rating: 3/5

Would I repurchase? No. Still have endless fragrances in the market to try!

Etude House Belle Dress Pretty Look Body Lotion Review

A lotion from Etude House! One of my favorite lotions! For 478 pesos, it contains 300ml (10.58 fl oz). Lotions are important for girls to give their skin moisture. Girls will definitely love this product.

I dreamt of having this for a long time. I just know I have to have one sitting on my dresser.

Etude House’s packaging never fails. It's always so lovely and full of life, never dull and boring. I get excited every time I’m about to apply the lotion.

The texture of the lotion was thick, and was hard to spread all over the body especially if you only pump a little amount to your palm. The scent is sweet and delightful, perfect for the girly girls! It reminds me of SkinWhite Glam Berry Lotion’s scent only the SkinWhite one is milder.

After applying, it makes the skin feel a little sticky but very sweet smelling and nourishing. I apply it every night before I sleep, and I always wake up to soft skin.

I actually never plan on throwing the bottle away, I can just refill it. I swear, the bottle itself is just overwhelming. It has a vintage touch to it, which made it look classy. I must say one of the most elegant looking packaging Etude House has to offer.

I bought this for 478 pesos which might be expensive to some people, but I think is quite affordable. Etude House as a lot of branches in shopping malls here in the Philippines so its not that hard to grab one. I heard they have branches in most countries in Asia too mainly because Etude House is based from Korea. If it is not available in your country, the best thing I can suggest is to buy from eBay. I’m sure you’ll find it available there. Etude House doesn’t officially put their products for sale online but I heard eBay sellers of Etude House are fine.
Pros:
-Lovely packaging.
-Sweet smell.
-Makes my skin soft.
Cons:
-Thick consistency makes it a little hard to apply.
-Skin feels sticky aftrer applying for approximately the first three minutes.
Rating: 4/5
Would I repurchase: No.

Quick FX Pimple Eraser Review

Now, everyone of us really hate it when we have pimples right? I have been searching for a convenient product that can finally remove any pimple I have and so I decided to try this product.

So while I was shopping the other day, I found this sachet of what seems to be a pimple removing cream. It was fairly cheap for 49 pesos. You can buy this in most drugstores and department stores here in the Philippines. Then my instinct came, would this even work? I had these annoying pimples in my face and I thought to myself that it wouldn't hurt to try. I mean this must be available here for the public for some reason and I'm sure before producing the product, they tested it first!

Quick FX Pimple Eraser has a creamy consistency and smelled like the usual beauty creams. I was very generous on applying it. I like that it has a lid so you can close it after using and it is very convenient if you are traveling.

It contains Glycolic Acid, Salicylic Acid, Zinc Oxide, Vitamin C, and Niacinamide. It is made in Korea which gave me a positive feeling as Koreans are known to have smooth and glowing skin.

The 10g sachet was good for 3 weeks. I applied it very generously as I said before! I used it twice a day, in the morning and before I go to sleep. I also had various face cleansing in between (my routine).

Based on my observation, using the Quick FX Pimple Eraser is not for the impatient. After using a sachet, only few of my pimples were gone, some were still there like nothing happened and some were almost gone. Unfortunately, some more pimples appeared too.

I wouldn't say I'm very disappointed with the result as I expected it before that for its price, it may not work extreme wonders. I lowered my expectations with the product that cost me only 49 pesos and if you come to realize, the effect is reasonable for the price. You cannot compare this to the high-end pimple removing products. So I suggest that if you want to use a pimple remover for a cheap price, don't expect too much and be patient. It might take you two or more sachets of the product but it is really in the person if the product is into him/her or not.

Pros:
-Easy squeeze packaging.
-Comes with a lid
-Travel-friendly.
-Very affordable.

Cons:
-Takes too long to dry pimples.
-Made my skin break out!

Rating: 2.5/5

Would I repurchase?: Probably not.
