On our way to Vigan, and we passed through this cute SM Mall building! SM Malls are everywhere in the Philippines, but this is a unique one!
Ilocos Norte.
Touchdown Vigan!
Confession: During our first day (doing Visita Iglesia for this year), the original plan is to go to Vigan first, but we exceeded and went beyond Vigan. That's when we alternatively went with Plan B, which is to go to Paoay first, and the rest is history. Sad as how I was, there was nothing we can do about it, since it was late at night anyway and Vigan was probably closed at that time. I just thought about it as saving the best for last!
Dancing fountain using music hits as background music.
Yes it was spectacular alright, but I'm itching to go places already! The places where I can actually feel the heritage city! I'm not all about these attractions. After a few songs ended, I lost it, and told them we need to leave for I did not travel all the way to Vigan just to watch water! #youdontwannamesswithme #meandmyobligations #thisisnotwhatIcamefor
Still took photos for the sake of "Carpe diem" but I'd rather be at the other parts of Vigan, honestly.
It was so crowded. Crowded as in crowded. I even think most people have went places already, and I envy them because I haven't yet and we don't have much time.
City hall.
Went through this noisy marketplace just made my mood worse. lol
Cafe Leona, I know you, sorry I can't dine at the moment.
Sooo many freaking people.
Walking through this street. Finally, Vigan happened to me. *so much feels*
*pats myself in the back* Nobody will ever understand how overwhelmed I am right now.
Most of the souvenir shops in Calle Crisologo sell the exact same things with the exact same price. Just a tip if you want to spend time wisely.
This is reality right now and I LOVE IT.
The one thing that I'm most thankful for is that this experience gave more reasons to come back. To say that it is not yet over, for every single day we live, there is always a chance. I'm still not over you Vigan. I shall return (possibly with less people (I already said the exact same thing with Boracay, yikes!)).
Cobblestone.
Good view.
Calle Crisologo
Suddenly, what's this I see?
Who wants to go clubbing while in Vigan?! Crazy @_@
You should appreciate the cobblestone photos more. I told you it was really crowded. My photos only tried to seem like it wasn't.
Antique shop.
Wooden furniture. Wouldn't fit in the van so no.
Photos instead.
This was also a struggle since people sit here frequently. Opportunities come in crazy ways.
..and yes I went away most of the time while taking photos of everything.
Supposed to be a good shot (mostly) but my camera sucks at night.
Bagnet, longganisa, and tapa advertisements.
Ilocos vinegar should be a must try for your palate.
Keychains for only 10 pesos each! Hoard them all if you can. My keychain story: I haven't got much people to give souvenirs to, so I just bought one, supposed to be for my college friend but (see further below to what happens next).
This band got a lot of attention from people. Good job! Take them all to one place, away from me and my photos please (why am I such in a bad mood hahaha).
Shirts, bags, fans, keychains..
Wooden stuff.
Colorful lantern-like stuff that gave me bohemian feels.
Cute cafe.
Had second thoughts but said "Alright fine, I'll take photos of y'all too." and they all intentionally looked away! Okay fine if that's what y'all want!
uggh y blurred :( (reminds myself again of the reasons why "I shall return"! :D)
Throwing of garbage not allowed here! Read read too when there's time!!
Continuation of my keychain story: So I've been looking for the perfect remembrance, and it led me again to not buying anything at all. Nothing seems to be my type (more reasons to return). I became disappointed with not being able to buy anything because I'm so picky, then I remembered I bought a keychain supposedly for my college friend whom I'll meet soon, but then I changed my mind and proclaimed that I should just keep it for myself instead. (more reasons to get back and give back)
Coffee mugs as souvenirs.
Mirror selfie brought to you by this cute little wooden-framed mirror!
I suddenly stop and stare everytime a calesa is approaching, my dad noticed and told me.
I wasn't able to ride one (more reasons to return) so photos will do.
The only airconditioned store. Went here to cool down a bit and take photos.
Souvenirs sold here are different from the others, but they are more of the modern-feels anyway, unlike the other souvenir shops who embraced the Spanish style. This shop has an "I ♥ Vigan" sign which does the trick for tourists like me to take a photo in front of it.
I'm familiar with this part, I saw photos of it in Instagram. HUHUHU why is my shot blurred @_@ ;_; (more reasons to return).. still convincing myself. Am I annoying you already? hahah
Vigan Plaza Hotel
Rang-ay Bank
McDonald's in Vigan. Why so cute! ;__; ❤
Thinking to myself, this shot would look 1000x better when taken in daylight (more reasons to return). #sorrynotsorry
The staircase in McDonald's.
St. Paul's Cathedral
Details.
One last photo before I hop in the van and sleep in an (8 hour?) drive on the way home.
Ilocos travel posts are now done! ..but, I'm going to post a round up of favorites (under Random label) since I'm not yet over it. So thankful that I get to experience this! :D
