Visita Iglesia 2015

Yes I am a Roman Catholic. Just last Maundy Thursday, we were on our way to Ilocos for a tour, and the roadtrip on the way is used wisely, for we read the way of the cross and stopped over different churches from different places. We were 14 people in this trip. We finished it around the afternoon of Good Friday already. It was definitely an experience I will never forget!

Gas station stopover because we haven't eaten any lunch yet.

~Stations 1 and 2~
Barasoain Church (Malolos, Bulacan)

~Stations 3 and 4~
San Guillermo Parish (Bacolor, Pampanga)

~Stations 5 and 6~
San Sebastian Parish (Tarlac City, Tarlac)

No available photo of the inside since a mass was being held.

~Stations 7 and 8~
Our Lady of Manaoag (Manaoag, Pangasinan)

This church is beautiful!

~Stations 9 and 10~
Basilica of Our Lady of Charity (Agoo, La Union)

This was right in front of the church in La Union.

..and this was on the left side.

People were having a Vigil at that moment.

I went alone here because it looks interesting and also because I want to get away for just a moment.

I asked a little boy if I can go upstairs and he said yes. There were some kids up here, I smiled at them and then I took more photos of the place.

Yes it felt creepy but I was feeling adventurous. lol

Oh hey there..

After that, we were off to Paoay Church. It was already very late at night when we got there so it was closed, so we just did it outside of the church. The church opened because they noticed that there were people outside. We had small talks with the priest and I managed to take a photo of the inside. I can't take a decent shot of the church because it was so dark. Our van was parked outside the church and we slept in the van. I fell asleep and woke up to the sun shining already. We were about to leave for breakfast, but I said I won't take long (I had to take the photo of the church now that there is sunlight).

~Stations 11 and 12~
Paoay Church (Paoay)

Totally digging the tiles.

White flowers everywhere!

This cute yellow and white building was beside the church, and we were parked near it.

A shot also with white flowers just because..

Lovely!

We were parked in front of the church and this particular building.

A closer look before we leave for breakfast and adventures around Paoay.

After Paoay, we were off to Pagudpud! But before hitting the beach, we had to go to one more church to finish the Visita Iglesia.

~Stations 13 and 14~
Shrine of St. Jude Thaddeus (Pagudpud)

I hadn't taken a photo inside because we were in a hurry for some reasons. One is because a mass is about to start, we noticed that they postponed it awhile for us, and another is that we were hungry and we need to get lunch (we already did a lot of fun and tiring things just after breakfast today - see link after Paoay Church- still on draft, coming soon), and it is getting late in the afternoon for us not to take lunch. I felt a little disappointed about it, but all is fine.
That's it for our Visita Iglesia this year. I'm so happy we got to venture around and visit various churches during this season. I hope that every year this gets better and better!
