Feeling rather electric.
Arcade games are everywhere.
As well as anime shops.
Cardcaptor Sakura
Miku Hatsune
Rey and Kylo Ren vs Praetorian Guards
I'm living for these colorful stores.
Seriously, how many Sega buildings are there just a few blocks away from this one?
I gotcha gacha. Gacha catch 'em all.
The massive electronics shop Yodobashi-Akiba from afar.
Am I in the future?
A very cute Pablo store with a very long queue.
Welcome to Akihabara
Outsiders can get a sneak peek of the maids' back when dancing.
Kurikoan's taiyaki. They are also known for having Magikarp taiyaki (see the mold from the right).
Pepper Lunch's menu looks so mouthwatering.
From a souvenir shop with some unusual prints sold.
Famous J-pop girl group AKB48's themed cafe & shop.
Gundam Cafe looks so futuristic.
Settled for some random restaurant on the 4th floor of some random building.
I'd wear either of the two in a heartbeat.
Unli-drinks = melon soda all you can.
Been craving for pork.
Experimenting. What? I saw some guy do it.
The bathroom floor is holo.
Look at those colors.
Finally made it to a maid cafe.
Portraits of the maids along the entrance. Must be their hall of fame.
I didn't even know they're collaborating with My Melody for a limited time. I just pressed all the numbers in the elevator and checked if the line's short enough then that's where we'll go. I knew about this tip from reading reviews online. Thankfully reached 5F which still had quite some people in line but upon seeing the very pink and girly interior and My Melody theme, I made my final decision. We have a winner.
We went during the last hour before closing and were only required to order drinks. After drinking unlimited melon soda, this is what I decided to order from their overpriced menu. I can accept all the face palm reactions I'll get from this. At least it had a cherry and we got free coasters. And besides, it's all for the experience. Also loving the license cards and chekki I got.
Till next time, Akihabara.
