A day trip to Bohol.
Family trip just before 2016 ends. Our flight to Cebu was around 4am, I just packed my stuff the previous night so of course I was sleepless. We arrived at Cebu just before sunrise but the first agenda of our trip is to visit Bohol. We rode a taxi straight to the ferry terminal and witnessed the sunrise in Cebu.
Not the ferry we rode! The one we rode was from OceanJet 88, and I actually took a nap there. It's rare for me to fall asleep in public places but I needed sleep so much.
Shortly after arriving in Bohol, we hired a van with a driver for a day tour.
First stop: Blood compact
Baclayon Church Souvenir Shop
There was also a museum here and they had some really interesting stuff.
I found these in all the souvenir shops here.
Unfortunately, photos were not allowed inside the museum.
Mossy stairs.
Make a wish.
I am still hopeful for this historical and wonderful church. It got struck by an earthquake last 2013.
Time for lunch at this floating restaurant. You can't miss it once you're in Bohol because the restaurant is a tourist spot itself and it's included in the tour.
Buffet with live music and views like this.
By the end of the river, you will reach this waterfall.
Bilar Man-made Forest with mahogany trees. Which I think was unintentionally harmful to the Philippine environment. I know it's odd but the answer to why is here.
Now we're off to finally see tarsiers! First heard about this (and the wonderful Chocolate Hills) since elementary days during Sibika.
All of the tarsiers we saw were just hanging still.
So many options. Can't decide.
Butterfly Sanctuary.
Watch out for huge spiders above you.
"Butterfly style for 24 hours"-our tour guide. These butterflies can't be bothered.
Sucking pretty on mango skin leftovers.
Greenery.
This beauty is called Red Torch Ginger.
Ended the trip with Chocolate Hills. On sunny days, they're green and on rainy days they turn brown.
