Ilocos 2015 Part 4 - Pagudpud

Pagudpud beach photospam in 3..2..1..

OMG beach I wasn't expecting to meet you anytime soon this year!

See, I still have classes this summer (because my uni started late) so my semester ends in May = no summer vacation for me. Since this week is a holiday, and Ilocos is the selected destination, this school girl was able to go to the beach in the summer after all! Classes still resuming next week though, but I'm not complaining.  ^__^

There are countless of wonderful beaches in the Philippines, and I'm so happy I get to experience this feeling frequently.

That dude nailed it. lol

Cottages are available for rent along the shoreline.

Place is crowded around this time but I somehow expected it. Not that I hate it, but sometimes the calmness just gets ruined. Well, they say that the more, the merrier.

One downside I can see in the street of Pagudpud beach is that vehicles are allowed. This beach is quite small, although struggling to be on Boracay level. I can see that this is a more toned down version of Boracay and Puerto Galera.

Beach nightlife is definitely way more toned down here compared to Boracay.

The star resort of Pagudpud Beach seems to be Hannah's. From the ala-Hollywood sign, to the zipline, huge space of resort, restaurant, and even a restaurant annex (I think they're still expanding their empire), I'm starting to think they're trying to monopolize Pagudpud Beach! Is that a good or a bad thing?

Beach window shopping. Not sure if word "window"is fitting XD but that's what they (we) call it.

One of my mottos is to take photos while living at the moment as much as possible, so I won't feel guilty about not being able to, especially since I'm now on a roll with posting in this blog. Explains why this photo existed.

In case you were wondering, I was wandering around here at night with my little brother Jesse, and my closest cousin ever (she's a girl obv).

In my other shot of this place, one dude stood up and posed!(seems drunk?)  wth delete immediately. I have a morning version photo of this place too, below.

Sorry for horrible quality but at least you can see the benches, table, and nipa hut beside the beach. :(

The next day, my mom and some of my cousins went surfing. They're beginners alright.

Walking on our way to the surfing area.

Those hills remind me of something. I wonder what they call it.

Nipa huts.

Beach streets lovin'

Pagudpud is well known for great waves. Surfing is big here, where it is located in the much shadier area far away from the hoards of people who are just swimming near the shore.

Shadow selfie on the sand with footprints, my cousin's legs, and wheelprints(or whatever you call it). I'm actually trying to be funny. Some people don't realize I'm being humorous most of the time. I hope you're not one of them. :)

Gumamela!

This is the area where they'll be surfing.

Preach the beach rules! (only my interpretation of the surf is relating to Internet..for they have free wifi)

I didn't go surfing but instead took loads of photos for my dear blog. :"D

Gumamela soup? lol no. For your eyes only.

I love this place.

There goes the twins hill again. I really wonder what its name is.

Beach photospam as promised..

Might be one of my most favourite shots ever. (that are taken by me obviously)

The plain water/ bubbly water (waves just ended) photos are failed attempts to take a wave photo but I'll still put them here.

When I went swimming yesterday, the struggle was that there were painful/disturbing rocks which hurt my feet on the way to go furthermore, but yet again I'm not complaining.

I swear I really am curious about that hill.

What are these feet obsession?! @__@

Kapuluan (where they went surfing, but all went to watch and relax) had a restaurant.

I love this place. Just a few minutes when we were about to leave that I knew about their free wifi. (no password too! tears of joy ;_;) I know what to do next time! *evil laugh*

They also have a cute reception. Then suddenly I hallucinate, dreaming about my own beach wedding. Oh the wonders of imagination.

Sands and seashells in jars on the tables of their reception.

Fruit shakes! ..and their specialty, gumamela soup.

Beach and fruit shakes = heaven!

Found a baby crab in a shell! So cute. My dad beside me played with it and he got pinched HAHA.

They also have a swimming pool! My little brothers are all set (they prefer swimming pools over beach). Me, I just prefer anything that's picturesque.

Carpe diem all day, errday!

Heart made of shell. Ohh I love youu.

Palm trees are a common sight in this country.

Leaving soon so went out to take more snaps after changing clothes.

The best advice I can give, choose wisely where you'll be staying. Those pricey resorts might just be worth it compared to the homestays. Not only do they might have much better accommodation, but also facilities. The homestay where we stayed at kept running out of electricity quite a few times and the water supply also gets limited! I'm not generalizing, though I heard resorts don't encounter this problem (generators probably), only most homestays.

Looking for the perfect remembrance led me to not buying anything at all.

My aunt and my mom bought me souvenir shirts though, so I'm all fine.

For the next post, I'm going to show some pictorials of mine here in Pagudpud beach, where you can actually see me. After that, more Ilocos adventure posts await you!
