Right after the last day of my first college school year, me and my closest college friends went to the National Museum. Admission was free this May since we are celebrating National Heritage Month. So by now that you heard it's free for a limited time, I'm sure you want to go check it out too! (Update: The free admission is extended until the end of June 2015!)
We unintentionally arrived exactly 10am, when the museum opens.
I hope you'll enjoy this photospam!
Spoliarium
Red walls and checkered floor got me like..
Sarimanok
From a window. Wondering what the boat is about. Maybe they'll display it soon?
I love abstract paintings and I've been thinking of doing one for so long to see how it would turn out but I've never attempted yet. Last time I tried was for a rushed school seatwork when I was in 3rd Year High School.. from a teacher that was well remembered by me and my closest friends.
The palette they used way before (I forgot the year wth)
Love how the items were set and arranged.
The elevator glass that we've been obsessing about.
More colorful, beautiful mess.
I gasped upon entering.
Directory that is just so convenient right now.
I've realized, these old buildings built way before look so big from the outside when really, they're hollow inside.
Venus
Staircase lovin.
Felt like I was actually in Europe for a moment!
Visitor Guidelines.
Staircase obsession is evident.
Spot the watermelon!
Confession: Upon entering and seeing paintings, it was a challenge of mine to find at least one watermelon painting. A lot of galleries have been entered and my friends suddenly pointed this painting out to me (they didn't know about my current self-challenge, honest) and I cried of joy! They know how much I love watermelons.
Various paintbrushes. Meanwhile, I am just contented with the free paintbrush I got from the Best Buy pack.
Red wall and BnW prints.
They were having a photoshoot, and me being my usual self, took photos of them while they're at it.
They noticed me and laughed/felt weird, but I didn't even say a thing, just took photos and left. They were my schoolmates but we are about 40k so I hope you won't expect that I know them. Just the fact that we all know we're schoolmates, and I'm sure everything is fine.
That's it for my first, free, and unplanned visit/tour around the national museum! This was honestly only a quick plan. This museum was on the way we were headed to so we gave it a chance. Everyone was caught up upon hearing "free admission this month only". I definitely know you are too! They're open 10am-5pm and free admission for the whole month of May (update: and June) 2015 so you better check it out now!
