MTR map. I wish the Philippines would also be able to have a train with a system as long as this. Imagine if the whole Philippines would be accessible through just one train system? Wow. Meet me in Boracay later. Oh too late I'm already in Baguio. Let's just meet tonight at Vigan. :)
This is where you buy a card to ride the MTR. You just select your destination, insert the amount of coins and done. You can also have the Octopus Card which is an MTR Card with a higher price but more perks. Since we won't be staying that long, we didn't get an Octopus Card.
#selfie on my way to Ocean Park.
My whole family. I'm the one with the blue sweater and pink bag. Thanks to that nice Ocean Park staff for taking this photo! :)
Cable cars on their way to the top of the mountain where Ocean Park is located. Before you ride a cable car, you will be in a small place (like a mini street) called Old Hong Kong. Here you can buy Chinese food and the ambiance is literally like Old Hong Kong, back when Hong Kong was under the British.
Ocean-themed carousel. ♥
Dolphins and even sea-horses instead of the usual horses.
Cable cars. Can you feel me shakin? I rode with my grandmother and I'm glad someone is much more afraid than me. I was just bursting into laughter about her reactions!
That feeling when you're nervous and you imagine your cable car might suddenly fall.
Don't look down!
What made me even more nervous was that there's a huge body of water below, and you're still imagining about the possibility of your cable car falling. Oh God, I don't wanna drown! I mean, it's so cccooollld! XD
Where is the end? I don't see it. I wanna go down now! Well, not yet now, but..
Cable cars. Cable cars everywhere.
After that nerve-wrecking ride, I get to see this. ♥
Yes I know, you can't see me and my lil bros. Look closely to the seals.
We also rode this one. Not as scary as it looks, trust me. Its main purpose is for you to see the whole Ocean Park from above. It goes up very slowly. My grandma however, refused to ride. :(
The view from Ocean Park Tower.
Colorful.
One of my favorite amusement park rides is this one.
After all of that was a Dolphin Show.
So long, Ocean Park.
The next day, we went to Macau (another blog post) and later that night, we went straight back to Hong Kong to go to....
The Peak! After riding the ferry from Macau to Hong Kong, (which made me dizzy, by the way) we looked for a bus station that goes to the Peak. It took us quite a long time to do so, we walked a lot, asked a lot, and waited for a bus to go to the Peak. And mind you, it was already night when we left Macau so we were in a little hurry.
Freezing cold, as if the camera lens isn't enough evidence. We went inside the Peak Galleria but a guard told us it's already closed and kicked us out. Needless to say, we were too late and at the wrong time.... of everything the Peak has to offer. The stores are already closed and worse, the view of Hong Kong isn't great because it's FOGGY. Yes, all we can see are clouds, and a blurry view of Hong Kong skyline, nothing else. How sad.
Riding the Peak Tram all the way down.
This was the last ride for that day, by the way. I guess we are not too late for that one though.
My lil bro is making my family laugh despite the small bad luck we just encountered. Not bad. hahahah
After riding the MTR, I saw this ad featuring Rihanna. I'm not much of a Rihanna fan but my best friend was, so it reminded me of him and that's how this photo existed. That's all for the 2nd day and a small part of my 3rd day at Hong Kong. Stay tuned for the last two parts, coming soon!
